The concept of following a gluten free diet has become increasingly popular over the past few years, both for those suffering from health problems and those looking to simply follow a healthier lifestyle. A gluten free diet is a diet that excludes the protein gluten, which is found in wheat and related grains including barley and rye. Gluten causes health problems for individuals suffering from celiac disease and/or a wheat allergy, but many people not suffering from CD or an allergy have claimed to experience a variety of health benefits from cutting the protein from their diet as well.
