Strawberry Upside-Down Cake

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 30 ml vanilla
  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch
  • A pinch of salt
  • Strawberries

Preparation

  • 1. Mix together the sugar, oil, eggs, milk and vanilla.
  • 2. Add the muffin mix and salt to the liquid mixture. Mix well to see a smooth texture.
  • 3. Grease and flour the cake pan.
  • 4. Cut the strawberries into slices and place them in the bottom of the cake pan to get about 1/2 inch thick.
  • 5. Sift the powdered sugar and cornstarch over the strawberries.
  • 6. Pour the liquid mixture over the strawberries and spread it well.
  • 7. Bake for 40 minutes at 350F.
  • 8. Wait until the cake is completely cooled before removing it from the pan.
  • 9. Depending on your taste, it is possible to add whipped cream on the cake and serve it with a strawberry coulis.
