Blueberry Crisp

Ingredients

  • Crispy
  • 1/2 cup margarine or butter
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup black chia seeds
  • 1/2 tbsp. cinnamon
  • Garnish
  • 4 cups blueberries
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

Preparation

  • 1. Mix together the margarine and brown sugar.
  • 2. Once the mixture is homogeneous, add the 4 dry ingredients and mix again. You will get a grainy/sandy mixture.
  • 3. Leave aside.
  • 4. In an 8" X 8" dish, place the blueberries.
  • 5. Drizzle the blueberries with the maple syrup.
  • 6. Sprinkle the blueberries evenly with the cornstarch
  • 7. Spread the dry ingredient mixture over the blueberries and compress well with the back of a spoon or spatula.
  • Bake at 375F for about 45 minutes or until the top of the crumble is golden brown.
