  • 1. Cream butter, add sugar and salt and mix until well blended.
  • 2. Add egg and vanilla, mix well.
  • 3. Once these ingredients are well blended, add flour and create a paste.
  • 4. Cover in plastic wrap and place in refrigerator for 1 hour.
  • 5. Spread out evenly with a rolling pin, cut out cookies with a cookie cutter and transfer to a baking sheet and garnish with chocolate chips as desired.
  • 6. Bake at 355F for 7-8 minutes, depending on size of cookies. Cookies should be golden brown around the edges, but not burnt.
  • 7. Transfer from baking sheet to a bakers rack to cool.
