Ingredients

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1½ tablespoons of baking soda
  • 2/3 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • ½ cup of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1½ teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups of whole milk

Preparation

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • 2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, baking soda, and cocoa powder.
  • 3. In a second bowl, beat the eggs, sour cream, butter, vanilla, and milk.
  • 4. Incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture and mix gently.
  • 5. Butter a 9-inch cake pan and pour the batter into it.
  • 6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
  • 7. Add a ganache or sprinkle the cake with powdered sugar before serving.
