
Maple pudding chômeur

Ingredients
- Cake
- 1/4 cup Cuisine Soleil buckwheat flour
- 1/4 cup Cuisine Soleil oatmeal
- 2tsp. baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup lightly pressed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1tbsp. vanilla
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1 cup cow's or plant-based milk
- Sauce
- 1 1/2 cups maple syrup
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup margarine
Preparation
- Sauce
- 1. Put all the ingredients for the sauce in a pot and bring to a boil over low heat.
- 2. Once boiling, remove from heat, pour into a measuring cup and set aside.
- Cake
- 1. Mix together the all-purpose flour, buckwheat flour, oat flour, baking powder and salt.
- 2. In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, margarine and milk.
- 3. Add the liquid ingredient mixture to the dry ingredient mixture.
- 4. Blend until fluffy.
- 5. Pour the cake mix into a greased and floured 8X8 pan.
- 6. Spread evenly.
- 7. Pour the sauce very gently, letting it run down the side of your dish. Bake for about 40-45 minutes at 350°F.
