ORANGE CAKE RECIPE

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon of arrowroot
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp. of gluten-free baking powder
  • 1/3 cup of grape seed oil
  • 1¼ cup of dates
  • 1½ cup of almond milk
  • 1 tbsp. of apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp. of orange juice
  • Orange zest

Preparation

  • Soak dates on 1 cup of warm almond milk for 10 minutes.
  • Preheat oven at 162°C, 325°F.
  • Mix dry ingredients together. Add the oil. Mix well.
  • When dates are soft, Add them to the food processor and make a puree.
  • In a bowl, mix humid ingredients including the reminder of the almond milk (3/4 cup) and the orange zest.
  • Slowly incorporate dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  • Grease a pan and pour batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, less if you use muffin pan.
  • Let it cool of at room temperature.
